So after finishing Dreamfever with that hell-ish cliffhanger I was recommended the Highlander Series by Karen Marie Moning. And I must tell you I was reluctant to read them at first, but now I am stolen. These hot Mackelter men just makes you wish you were the one dropped into their century. These are one of those time traveling novels which I didn't know if I would like but I loved it! I admit it was a bit slow in the beginning, but it picked up after the first few chapters.

Gwen Cassidy is on a vacation and takes a bus tour to Scotland hoping to find a guy to loose her virginity to. But what do you know, the bus tour is full of seniors. Poor Gwen takes a walk and wanders around to fall in a cave of some kind and lands on a man. Drustan Mackeltor wakes up 500 years into the future not knowing what is what. He then finds out that he needs to find a way to get back to his century to fix everything and find out why he was trapped 500 years into the future. Did someone have it in for him? And he is determined to make Gwen his.

This book was so so beautifully romantic and so funny at times. I loved it. I think the fun part is that if you are from a different world/century and are thrown into another things are completely different and you are so used to acting a certain way that you completely stand out to others. I think that is funny. What I love about these highlanders are that each book is said that these are big, huge men and small petite women that are virgins and I think what I like about that is that is very different from what I have read and how romantic the guy is. Drustan is a total romantic and her cherishes Gwen like she is his ultimate treasure. And I am like "awwww" so much through this book.

From first reading Karen Marie Moning's urban fantasy series and then her paranormal romance I can honestly say that she is brilliant! I am fully addicted now. I need to read all of her Highlander books now. I love happy endings and all but these happy endings make me wish there was a continuation to Drustan and Gwen's story. I mean they are so perfect. So I started with book 4 from a recommendation, but I fully intend to read the first three. Moning is able to make her highlander men so desirable that I want them all to myself. With an ending that gets set up for the next book I can't wait to start The Dark Highlander. I know that I will love it just as much as the last book. I just read about Drustan and now I'm on to Drustan's twin brother, Daegus and you got to know that he is equally delicious as Drustan if not, MORE!
