Book Talk: Cassandra Clare's New YA Trilogy!
Cassandra Clare just announced a new book deal with Simon and Schuster! It's a new YA book trilogy called, THE DARK ARTIFICES. And he first book is set to release in 2015!
Here is what Cassandra Clare had to say:
“The series follows Emma Carstairs, the fiercest warrior and most skilled young Shadowhunter since Jace Wayland, and Emma’s sworn partner in arms, Julian Blackthorn,” the statement reads. “Despite Emma’s complicated feelings for Julian, the two must band together to investigate a demonic plot that stretches from the warlock-run nightclubs of the Sunset Strip to the enchanted sea that pounds the beaches of Santa Monica.”
Clare said in a statement that she was sure readers would love both her new and her established characters. “I know readers will come to love Emma, Mark, Cristina and Julian just as they have loved Jace, Clary, Will, Tessa and Jem,” she said. “Readers have often asked what will happen in the Shadowhunter world after the events of the ‘Mortal Instruments’ and this series will give them a chance to find out.”
2015???? LOL...I think by that year I'll officially be too old to read YA. HA!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a while since Im not a teen anymore and Im still reading it and I will keep doing it XD No intention of quit YA just because Im not a teen anymore. I hope you dont quit it either! ;)
DeleteI know, 2015 is soooo far away, but this new series sounds so interesting! ;))
DeleteCassandra also said that she has in mind a YA high fantasy series and that she doesnt know which one she's going to write first >___< So far, both series are in the same state of development. Still developing the story but no chapter has been written yet. Even though I love the Shadow Hunter World, I'd love to see something different from Cassie! So I really hope she will write both series, The Dark Artifices and the High Fantasy one XD hohohoho!! It would be soooo awesome! dont you think?? I mean, Cassie is currently writing two series at the same time, why not do that again? =D
ReplyDeleteOooh, this is cool news :) I'll have to keep my eyes and ears peeled for this series!
