This week's question: What is your usual monthly book budget?
I try tell myself only no more than $20, but sometimes when I am in the bookstore and see something I just can't help myself. I know a couple of months ago I think I spent like $50-75 on books but I am trying to control myself. I would say I am down to no more than $20 monthly on books right now and have a goal to keep it that way.

"If you find a book that looks interesting but is part of a series, do you always start with the first title?"
I admit I am tempted. I have had times where like I find a series and book 3 or 4 had a awesome cover and the description sounded amazing, but I just can't start a series out of order like that, I have to go find book 1 and start from there. I know I was tempted with the Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead. I found book 4, Blood Promise and it looked amazing, so I has to check out and go find a copy of book 1 and I loved it!

ReplyDeleteI am loving your taste in books.. except I am not a big fan of the Vampire Academy series.. I jumped off the bandwagon after a few books :(
But, anyways - I can't read series out of order. I just don't want to miss anything :)

ReplyDeleteI've spent a lot less on books since I'm getting so many free from publishers. I maybe spend $100/year now, but it depends - I can't control myself when I'm in bookstores :)

ReplyDeleteHi and welcom to the PNR UF etc blogosphere. I find it is impossible to stop at books. There are also movies and TV. Plus all these legends come from somewhere - when I see something I talk about it. My fam is creepy and I have been the paranormal one since I was seven. I will yak about the paranormal where ever it comes about.
