Hello all my Mystifying Stars,
Today I am here to celebrate Christina Henry's upcoming release, Black Howl in the Madeline Black Series. This series is an exploding series about a kick-ass heroine as well as an angel/demon book!
Black Howl
by Christina Henry
Agent of Death Madeline Black is finding out that some of the spirits of Chicago aren't ready to cross over.
Something is wrong with the souls of Chicago's dead. Ghosts are walking the streets, and Agent of Death Madeline Black's exasperating boss wants her to figure out why. And while work is bad enough, Maddy has a plethora of personal problems too. Now that Gabriel has been assigned as her thrall, their relationship has hit an impasse. At least her sleazy ex-fiancé Nathaniel is out of the picture — or so she thinks...
What inspired you to write the Madeline Black Series?
I wanted to write a story about the Grim Reaper, and somewhere along the way it morphed into a story about an Agent of death who didn't know she was also the child of a fallen angel. At the time there were a lot of stories that featured vampires and werewolves but not as many featuring fallen angels, so I thought it would be fun to write something a little bit different.
If you can tell us, What can we expect in the third book of the Madeline Black Series, Black Howl?
Maddy's life is getting really complicated in this book. Ghosts of the dead are popping up all over Chicago, and their deaths haven't been foreseen by the Agency, which means they're outside the natural order.
And if deaths are occurring outside the natural order then that means something big and bad is hanging around. Plus, Wade, the alpha of the werewolf pack that befriended Maddy in BLACK NIGHT, has been kidnapped and Maddy's got to find him. On top of everything else, Gabriel is her thrall now, so if you thought their relationship was difficult before you haven't seen anything yet.
Do you as the author, share a similarities with the heroine, Madeline Black?
I actually share more similarities with Beezle. I, too, have an unnatural love of cinnamon rolls.
Do you have a crush on one of the love interests or just all three of them?
Gabriel is pretty much my ideal hero - strong, silent, tormented.
The covers of the Madeline Black Series are pretty amazing! My favorite cover was Black Night! Which cover is your favorite?
I agree! Kris Keller has done an amazing job on the covers. The BLACK NIGHT cover is also my favorite so far. Maddy looks like she's about to kick some serious booty.
If you could be any supernatural creature, which would you be?
A shapeshifter. It would be so much fun to be able to change your appearance at will.
Thank you so much for interviewing with Mystifying Paranormal Reviews.
