How far would you dare to go...to win it all?

Maverick Holms and Duke Warren share almost everything--a college soccer team, an apartment and the same extremely competitive nature. Thanks to that never-back-down spirit, they're about to share more than they bargained for.

The game is "gay chicken." The rule: get as close as possible without kissing, and the one that pulls away first is the loser. The problem: neither of them likes to lose. It isn't long before the game becomes an excuse to touch and kiss in every possible forbidden way. And after they pose for a gay website to earn extra money, things really heat up.

Suddenly Duke is talking lifetime commitment, and Mav is backpedaling as hard as he can, not sure if he's ready to accept all his best friend is offering him. Or the truth about what he is.

“God…” For a moment Duke looked conflicted. “I swore I wouldn’t do this, man. Swore I’d never go bareback until I found the guy I wanted to be with forever.” “Well, you found him.” Mav kissed his cheek and whispered in his ear. “I’m here, Duke.

I cannot even form words here. Give me a minute... HOLY LORD! Now that is what I call a m/m romance book! I am not kidding here! STR8TE BOYS was the best m/m book I have ever read! Evangeline Anderson is a goddess! She knows how to write a wonderful, heartfelt, emotional and hot m/m book! I must say that I am very much impressed! I am still thinking about this book and I wish that there was a sequel or more books like this one!

Mav smiled back and then got serious. “You know, sometimes I feel like we wasted all that time when we could have been together. I’m sorry you practically had to knock me over the head with a brick to get me to see what we could be to each other.”

Maverick Holms and Duke Warren are best friends that are the same college soccer team. And they are very close. They or both straight or so we think they are. Mav has a sudden growing affection for his best friend, Duke that he can't stop. They play "Gay Chicken" a lot and Duke wins most of the time. And they are daring each other to go further and further and things get a little sexual with the game, first kissing, touching, jerking off and well, you get the idea. The question becomes what the hell is going on here? There are some feelings that need to be said between these two and things another needs to figure out.

“So let me get this straight—I mean right,” Mav said. “You weren’t gay until you started college?” “No, I was gay, I just wouldn’t admit I was gay,” Evan corrected him. “And believe me, it wasn’t easy but I didn’t want to keep on lying to myself and everybody else.

There is no denying that Mav loves his best friend. And it becomes confusing to him when these "gay chicken" games are going further and further. Mav needs to figure out some things. This book was really about the hot sex! Haha! Just kidding. It was about the hot sex, but also about dealing about your feelings and coming to terms that, "yes, you are gay." And you need to accept that or you may lose the one person that matters to you more than anything else. I think yes, it is hard, but it matter not what others think of you if you have the one person you love more than anything else in the world. Then it is worth it.

“I…of course I love you, man.” Mav laughed uneasily. “I mean, you’re my best friend.” “No.” Duke shook his head. “Not like that. Not the kind of love you have for your teammate or your friend. I’m talkin’ about romantic love—like spend-the-rest-of-your- life-together love.”

Duke fooled me. I will give you that. I had no idea what was going on in his mind half the time and he surprised me! I will give him that. When we meet Duke he is a total Jock. Big, bad boy loves to fun have and a good time and mess with his buddies. And I love what he's really like on the inside. Duke is very caring and kind and has heart and Oh, dear god. I fell for him hard, felt bad for him and glad he got his HEA in the end. It took Mav some time to make things right with Duke, but finally we have one of the best m/m couples in history born. I adore you, Mav and Duke!

“I want you,” he whispered roughly, caressing Duke’s cheek. “And I don’t care who’s on top—just want to be close to you.”

Overall, STR8TE BOYS was a wonderful story of finding yourself and a little experimentation. Also of love and no matter who it is boy or girl, don't mess it up because you may lose them forever if you hurt them. This book was incredibly HOT! I Have to mention the sex! The sex! It blew my mind! It was so hot I had to fan myself! I wanted more! I didn't get enough! I look forward to reading more of Evangeline Anderson books! If you are just starting out on m/m books like I am I highly recommend this book to a newbie or if you are already a m/m junkee! You will not be disappointed!

  2. Yeah! I think of the M/M books I”ve read, this one is my favorite thus far. I liked it so much that I wish it was part of a series or that there was another book about them or it was longer or that I could possibly find more books similar to STR8TE BOYS. I mean, good, god, I loved this book soooooo much!
