Exact thoughts when you are waiting for a upcomming book release you are dying to read?

Is it time yet? How many more days? Can I read any sample chapters? How many times can I read the sample chapters in a single day? Do you think the bookstores will put it out early? Maybe I should check. How long can I go without eating, drinking, or using the bathroom so I don’t have to get off the couch or stop reading?

What book series are you currently obsessing over?

In terms of adult series, I’m currently obsessing over the Elder Races books by Thea Harrison. I just finished DRAGON BOUND last week and absolutely adored it, she writes such fantastic characters that suck you in before you even realize you’re involved. I was lucky enough to get an ARC of STORM’S HEART (book 2) and devoured that one in one sitting, and now I’m not-so-patiently (see previous question) waiting for book 3, SERPENT’S KISS.

In terms of young adult books, I’m eagerly counting the days until the release of SUPERNATURALLY and TRIAL BY FIRE. Evie from PARANORMALCY kept me dying of laughter the entire time I was reading that one, I love some good snark. And RAISED BY WOLVES was one of my favorite reads last year so I’m very ready for book two in that series!

If you could trade places with one book character, who would it be and why?

I think I would trade places with either Cat from Jeaniene Frost’s Night Huntress series or Clary from Cassandra Clare’s Mortal Instruments. With Cat, I would get to spend all my time with Bones who is not only absolutely stunning but also British so I would get to listen to him talk all day long. Spectacular.

With Clary, I’d get to spend a lot of time with Jace and I think our particular brands of snark would develop crushes on one another and we would get along quite well. Plus, her world is so fantastical, full of things I can hardly even imagine.

Okay that's difficult...hmm....Jimmy The Hand from Raymond Feist worlds. I would do cause i like that even though he was a thief he was also a honorable guy. He wasn't afraid to sacrifice himself for what he believed, he was adventurous, funny and at the end he became one of the strongest mans in power the the kingdom had seen. Without cheating or something but what he was. And plus, he was kinda hot. I could spent my life with him.

Jimmy The Hand obviously...then Artemis Fowl (i know it's weird option), Prince Nicolas (again from Feist books), Amon (from Seven Realms Series), Adrian Ivaskov (from Vampire Academy Series)

Exact thoughts when you are waiting for a upcomming book release you are dying to read?

I usually getting overexcited and i manage to calm down the very last day. I read every little spoiler available (yeah i'm one of the very bad persons out there). I'm also spending my time re-reading the summaries and adoring every possible cover of the release while trying to guess what will happen.

What book series are you currently obsessing over?

River of Time series by Lisa Bergen. I just finished the first book Waterfall and i just fall in love with it. The whole romance with knights and going back in time was one of the bests i've read. And i think my favorite chars from the series will have more story in the next book since in this one was secondary so i really can't wait for it. It might not be really original as a concept but it make me truly enjoy it.

If you could trade places with one book character, who would it be and why?

The character from my stories doesn't count i guess so...there are many actually but i kinda love the life of Dru from Strange Angels series. I love stories like the Supernatural TV Series and the book is exactly like that. Plus, i would love to try a school with only boys. Seems so interesting XD

Which character would you take as your Husband?

I would marry Adam Hauptman from Patricia Briggs's Mercy Thompson series in a heartbeat. If he were a real person, I would melt if he just looked at me. A super hot, strong & silent werewolf who occasionally shows off his bad-ass shifter skills to protect his girl is the perfect man for me.

Which 5 book characters would you take as Lovers?

Oh wow, what a question! I hope no one will think I'm too much of a dork for saying this, but if he were real, I would be all over Edward Cullen. After I read Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series a few years ago, I had the longest dating dry spell because I would compare every guy I met to my mental image of Edward Cullen, haha. Well, I finally met a guy who measured up to Edward and we have been happily in love for the past 9 months (and he goes above and beyond my expectations in other categories, wink wink). If Edward weren't available to be my boy toy, I would definitely go for Ethan Sullivan from Chloe Neill's Chicagoland Vampires series. After I read the very X-rated scene between Ethan and Merit, I couldn't sleep, haha. I guess if I didn't end up marrying Adam Hauptman, he would be my next choice. As for the rest..Marc and Jace from Rachel Vincent's Shifters series - hot werecats are right up my alley.

Exact thoughts when you are waiting for a upcomming book release you are dying to read?

I try not to think about upcoming releases of the books I am dying to read because I'll drive myself crazy. But the day before the book comes out, I usually sit by my computer waiting patiently for the clock to finally strike 12am, then immediately purchase the ebook and start reading.

What book series are you currently obsessing over?

I am totally obsessing over Chloe Neill's Chicagoland Vampires series! I love urban fantasy and paranormal romance, and this series is the best of both genres. It's full of sexy vampires and shifters, tons of intense yet believable action scenes, and enough hot romance to make your head spin. I can't wait for the next book, Hard Bitten, to be released!

If you could trade places with one book character, who would it be and why?

This is such a tough question. Hopefully this doesn't sound selfish, but I would trade places with the protagonist of Transcendents, the urban fantasy series I am working on right now, Kale is a lot like me, was born and raised in New Orleans, and is going through an extremely chaotic time in her life. I know that sounds sort of silly, wanting to be a character in crisis, but the ending of the story is definitely worth all of the challenges she must overcome. I wish I could spill all of the details about the series, but what would be the fun in that? I guess you'll just have to buy a copy when it's published, lol.

Book or Ereader? BEReader - it doesn't matter if I forget my book at home because I can always read it on my phone, and I NEVER forget my phone.

Paperback or Hardback? Paperback. I'm so poor, lol, and paperbacks are cheaper. The story is what really matters.

Favorite Vampire? Duh, Edward Cullen!.

Favorite Shifter? Faythe Sanders from Rachel Vincent's Shifters series. Gotta love those kick-ass female shifters!

YA novel or Adult novel? Definitely Adult - although I love the sweet, innocent romances in YA books, I can't get enough of the steaminess of Adult novels.

I'm going to go with Jace Wayland from The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare. He is cocky, and hilarious and has that bad-boy way about him that I find incredibly attractive. Plus, he's a total bad ass (can I say that?) the boy can kick anyone or anythings butt! He also has promise to last as a husband...being married to me isn't easy - just ask my real husband...hehehe

I hope Alex doens't divorce me for talking about this book too much" generally when I'm excited about a release I yammer on to my poor husband about it, title, characters, plot, what I think might happen, when I'm going to get it, how I will be totally useless until ti's completed...that kind of thing.

What book series are you currently obsessing over?

Right now I'm going with Mortal Instruments series right now, although sadly the reason I am currently obsessing isn't because of the love I have for Jace it's because how I was not thrilled with the latest installment, City of Fallen Angels. So I've been speculating, considering going back and reading City of Bones to push the unhappiness out of my head. And of course because now I'm still dying for the next in the series to come out.....when you love something you over look it's downfalls....

If you could trade places with one book character, who would it be and why?

Rose Hathaway from Vampire Academy - she's a tough as nails, take no crap from anyone butt kicker....and I could use the release of beating the crap outta some bad vampires once in awhile!

Book or Ereader? Both. I have a Nook Color, "Mah Nookie" (say it like Bill from True Blood) and because of it I never have to leave the house when I wasn't something really bad and/or really fast. Helpful since I have kids. But, there is nothing as wonderful as the smell and feel of a real book in your hands.

Paperback or Hardback? Hardcover for autographs and keepsakes, paperback for lugging around several at a time to read

Favorite Vampire? Lestat from Interview With A Vampire.

Favorite Shifter? Sam from True Blood, that boy is HAWT.

YA novel or Adult novel? Twilight. It brought me back to reading and made me remember why I loved it so much. It also brought me pretty much all of my best girlfriends that I have now and with out them I would be nothing!

What day is it? Omg! Breath…be calm… I try and stay updated on goodreadsfor new releases. I’m someone who reads a lot of reviews to make sure the booksare the type that I like. I pretty much always have to have a little romance.

What book series are you currently obsessing over?

Right now I’m excited for the upcoming release of Jennifer Esteps’ Elemental Assassins 4th book, Tangled Threads. I love the character Gin, her personality is a lot like, of course I ’m no assassin but she’s snarky and really protects her friends. I ’m also excited for: #4 of Chicagoland Vampires, Abandon by Meg Cabot and The unbecoming of Mara Dyer…these three I am consistently looking up and at reading reviews for.

If you could trade places with one book character, who would it be and why?

I would say Yelena from M aria V. Snyder’s Study Series. She is just so kick butt and has really awesome powers. Plus with the addition of her man Valek who is a fear assassin as her protector, who wouldn’t want to be, her.

Calm...calm....calm...FREAK OUT! I try to count down the days and read other books but sometimes I can't help myself and I stalk the goodreads page looking for reviews. Then I make myself not read them because I don't want to spoil it. If it's a BIG release (like Mockingjay was) I have to cut myself off from the internet to stay away from spoilers.

What book series are you currently obsessing over?

I recently read Divergent by Veronica Roth and fell in love! I'm not sure how I will wait for book 2. It's one of the best books I've read in a long long time. Many of the recent books I've read have been the first in a series so I'm excited for book 2: Paranormalcy, Unearthly, and Shade. Each of these had amazing first books and I know the rest of the series will be just as good.

If you could trade places with one book character, who would it be and why?

Gosh, that's a hard one. I loved Rose in the Vampire Academy series. I mean who wouldn't want 2 hot guys fighting over you all the time? Good stuff!

1.) Edward Cullen - although everything about this series have been spotlighted for SO long, Edward is still very much number one for me!
2.) Patch Cipriano - yum! 'Nuff said!
3.) Brandon (He doesn't have a last name! *Jaw drop!* I KNOW, RIGHT?) - anyway, all I have to say is, I'd be his mate any day. Hmm-mmm! ANY. DAY.
4.) Luc Cain - *fans self* I'm mush right now; can't even describe this hotness! I'm so lame.
5.) Ash, the Ice Prince - OMFg! He's....he is *SIGH*

Exact thoughts when you are waiting for a upcomming book release you are dying to read?

Here's a before and after response in regards to blogging. BEFORE: Wow! How many months until? A DECADE? *dies* AFTER: *looks at TBR pile* I really, really, RE.AL.LY want to read this....but *TBR pile growls* I....can't.
It's just because before blogging, I HAD to wait like everyone else but now that I'm exposed to blogging and the blogosphere I never knew what ARCs were or that they were available to a few select people. But even now, my TBR pile is too much for me to handle so the wait for upcoming book releases are a little more bearable.

What book series are you currently obsessing over?

One book series that I'm currently obsessing over is The Crescent series by Jordan Deen! NOTE: I finished this book at the beginning of this month, the weekend of the 6th-7th to be exact, and I still cannot stop thinking about it. I HIGHLY recommend it to ALL book lovers! Totally go out of your way to get your grimy hands on a set of these AWESOME, INCREDIBLE, AMAZING books!

It will be worth it! And if after you read it you think, "Wow, what was she thinking?!" I'll take an earful of it from you! I think what captivated me the most about this series is the storyline, or the focus of the book altogether. Ah, what the heck - EVERYTHING about it! Obviously because like I mentioned above, Brandon is lingering! Even now when I'm reading books after I finished The Crescent and Half Moon (The Crescent, #2), I find my mind wandering back to Brandon. I feel like I'm cheating almost, I'm not joking! I feel like I'm not giving the lead male in the current book I'm reading a fair chance, lol! But anyway....JUST. READ. IT!

If you could trade places with one book character, who would it be and why?

Oh man! One book character...mmm! I'd have to say for the moment it would have to be Brea from Half Moon. Her overall character is totally kick-ass! She's so awesome and Catch, her mate - SWOON! What more could you ask for? She's Lacey's best friend in Half Moon and I love how the story obviously isn't about her but we get to see enough of her to the point where I would very much like to trade places with her. Although at my end...it would probably be very, very, VERY boring for her, ahah! :)

Since I've read it very recently, I have to say Mercy Thompson series! River Marked was so good! But I keep wanting more, specially since this latest book took place away from most of the side characters. However, River Marked was perfect in the romance department! What is getting to me that we'll only have a new book in 2013! That sucks!
