Review: Blood Bound by Patricia Briggs

Title:  Blood Bound
Author:  Patricia Briggs
Series:  Mercedes Thompson, #2
Publisher:  Ace
Release Date:  January 30, 2007
Pages:  292
Rating:

The lighter moments of Mercedes Thompson's days are spent tinkering with VWs. When she's not workings, this attractive, shape-shifting auto mechanic is busy fighting wrongdoers and attempting to sort out her somewhat messy love life. In this, the third Mercy Thompson novel, Ms. Fix-It must work overtime to save her former boss and mentor from a homicide charge.

The second book was about the same as the first book for me. It was a little scary though in some parts. The Mercedes Thompson is so different to me because this is like the only urban fantasy series that I have read that we don't get a lot of the romance. I wish we got a little bit more of it, but at least we can see the romance blossoming somewhat.

The plot is so enthralling though. It keeps me excited. Mercy Thompson is a wonderful heroine to follow and I enjoy her quite a bit. SO we have the two love interests, Sam and Adam. I don't really like Sam that much, so I hope so doesn't choose him. We see through this one a little bit just how much, big and bad Alpha, Adam cares about Mercy.

And I wish I could make this review longer, sorry. But overall this book was okay just like the first one and I am only pushing to read more because I heard the series gets better.

  1. Keep reading the series - it definitely gets better! And trust me when I say that the romance you are looking for is well on its way :) Patricia Briggs is one of my favorite writers. After you finish the Mercedes Thompson series, you should definitely read Briggs' Alpha & Omega series. Samuel's brother, Charles Cornick, is the leading man in this series and it focuses more on the romance between he and his mate than the action and adventure that the Mercedes Thompson series does.

  6. I am so weird, like I have a problem with putting up a review like River Marked (book 6) when I have the reviews for the rest of them and they never went up. I hope to get Bone Crossed and Silver Borne up in the next few days.

Btw, Bones Crossed and Silver Borne were better and the ratings will be higher from me XD
