Blogger Secrets Presents: Supernatural Snark

IDENITY: JENNY ZEMANEK

Which character would you take as your Husband?
Oh my. I have to choose just one? How about 5? My top five fictional character husbands would be (in no particular order):

Bones from Jeaniene Frost’s Night Huntress series
Barrons from Karen Marie Moning’s Fever series
Jace from Cassandra Clare’s Mortal Instruments series
Ethan from Chloe Neill’s Chicagoland Vampire series
Acheron from Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunter series
Dimitri from Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy series
Hawke from Nalini Singh’s Psy-Changeling series

Oh wait. That’s seven. Married life is going to be busy isn’t it?

Which 5 book characters would you take as Lovers?
Ohhh I get to expand my harem…even better. Let’s see, here’s who I would add to the above list:

John Matthew from J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood
Zsadist from J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood
Curran from Ilona Andrews’s Kate Daniel series
Raphael from Nalini Singh’s Guild Hunter series
Roarke from J.D. Robb’s In Death series

Exact thoughts when you are waiting for a upcomming book release you are dying to read?
Is it time yet? How many more days? Can I read any sample chapters? How many times can I read the sample chapters in a single day? Do you think the bookstores will put it out early? Maybe I should check. How long can I go without eating, drinking, or using the bathroom so I don’t have to get off the couch or stop reading?

What book series are you currently obsessing over?
In terms of adult series, I’m currently obsessing over the Elder Races books by Thea Harrison. I just finished DRAGON BOUND last week and absolutely adored it, she writes such fantastic characters that suck you in before you even realize you’re involved. I was lucky enough to get an ARC of STORM’S HEART (book 2) and devoured that one in one sitting, and now I’m not-so-patiently (see previous question) waiting for book 3, SERPENT’S KISS.

In terms of young adult books, I’m eagerly counting the days until the release of SUPERNATURALLY and TRIAL BY FIRE. Evie from PARANORMALCY kept me dying of laughter the entire time I was reading that one, I love some good snark. And RAISED BY WOLVES was one of my favorite reads last year so I’m very ready for book two in that series!

If you could trade places with one book character, who would it be and why?
I think I would trade places with either Cat from Jeaniene Frost’s Night Huntress series or Clary from Cassandra Clare’s Mortal Instruments. With Cat, I would get to spend all my time with Bones who is not only absolutely stunning but also British so I would get to listen to him talk all day long. Spectacular.

With Clary, I’d get to spend a lot of time with Jace and I think our particular brands of snark would develop crushes on one another and we would get along quite well. Plus, her world is so fantastical, full of things I can hardly even imagine.

Random Short Answer
Vampire or Shifter? Um, both. One to keep me company at night, and one to be with me during the day ;-)
Book or Ereader? Book! I love my e-reader, but nothing is a substitute for an actual paper book.
Angel or Demon? Angel
Paperback or Hardback? Hardback when I can afford them!
Favorite Vampire? Bones (Night Huntress) or John Matthew (Black Dagger Brotherhood).
Favorite Shifter? Hawke (Psy-Changeling)
YA novel or Adult novel? Both! The blog tends to focus more on paranormal YA, but I love reading anything and everything paranormal romance and urban fantasy, so I need both the teen angst and the smexy romances to keep me balanced.
