When you’re immortal, being a mom won’t kill you— it will only make you stronger

Even though all the non-vamps in Broken Heart, Oklahoma, skipped town, Patsy Donahue has kept her hair salon up and running thanks to the werewolves prowling around. They know how important good grooming is, especially a certain rogue shapeshifter who’s as sexy as he is deadly. Now, if only she could put a leash on her wild teenage son, who’s up to his neck in danger. The stress would kill Patsy, if she wasn’t already undead. But her maternal instinct is still alive and kicking. And no one had better mess with her own flesh and blood…

The Broken Heart Vampire Series is a quick, fun-filled read and this is a series you just cannot pass up. You will enjoy every page until the very end.

In BECAUSE YOUR VAMPIRE SAID SO, we have single mother Patsy who runs a beauty parlor as our heroine. I admit I did not like Patsy as well as Jessica and Eva, but she was still a fun character.

Patsy is having some trouble. Patsy has a not so good relationship with her teenage son who is apparently turning out like her ex-husband, a druggy and she has no idea what to do about it. And also she may possibly be the only hope for Vampires and Werewolves because apparently Patsy is the queen. Patsy Queen?

"C'mon Patsy. Who is he?" " A troll named Wolfer Eater." I pointed to the door. "Go away." "Torturing you is more fun."

Gabriel was equally sexy as our last two heroes of the story. Loyal and devoted to the loves of their life. Since the moment we met Gabriel I fell in love and I know I always say that, but there is something sexy about a halfbreed. Born Half vampire and Half werewolf. He was basically born how Lorcan is right now. And has white hair. He is described as beautiful, and he really is.

Even though this book was also just as enjoyable as the first two books, I felt like I did not enjoy the plot as well as the first two books. I really can't wait to read the next book and find out what is in store for our next single parent vampire.

Review: Don't Talk Back to Your Vampire by Michele Bardsley

Broken Heart, Oklahoma, is now a center for paranormal activity of the vampire kind after a PTA meeting was disrupted by a sick vampire who turned every parent into one of his own kind. Single mother Eva LeRoy is one of the new vampires, and her teenage daughter is adjusting. It helps that the whole town is vampire friendly, except for the renegade group that is trying to kill them. Eva is still testing her new powers when Lorcan, the vampire who transformed her, starts coming around. She knows that he was sick with the taint and has forgiven him, but he has yet to forgive himself. Eva is drawn to Lorcan and relies on him to help keep her spirits up as her idea of normalcy is destroyed and her daughter's boyfriend turns out to be a vampire hunter.

DON'T TALK BACK TO YOUR VAMPIRE is just as equally enjoyable as the first book in the Broken Heart Vampire Series. And I am enjoying these characters so much that I just want more and more. Bardsley has got me hooked on this amazing vampire series and I crave for nothing but MORE!

In DON'T TALK BACK TO YOUR VAMPIRE we have Eva as our heroine and I am surprised that I liked her just as much as Jessica. Usually I like the heroine in the first book best, but I like both these girls. I find Eva so very sweet and caring. And I especially adore her love for animals. I don't know why, but I had flashbacks of Snow White. I think she is just a strong a heroine as Jessica. She really surprised me how she ain't gonna take no shit from anyone that tries to hurt anyone she loves. I mean not that part was surprising, because any mother would go to any lengths to protect those she loves, but Eva was totally bad-ass.

"Those dudes are hot," announced Tamara. Both Lor and Patrick shut up and turned to stare at her. Damian looked up and grinned wolfishly. My daughter's face went bright red. She drew the sheet over her head, muttering, "You can stake me now."

And then we have Eva's love interest, Lorcan. He is such a romantic. I don't know who I love more Patrick or Lorcan. They are equally matched in capturing my heart. Lorcan is the lonely, tortured soul type who has fallen in love with Eva and hope to gain her love after all he has done and I just love those tortured soul types....awwww.....Lorcan. I really wanted more and more of Lorcan. He has captured my heart.

I have to mention Patrick and Lorcan's father, Ruadan. He is so damn funny. He is my second favorite parent in a book series. I love in book series where we have these fun parents that make you laugh. He was more funny in the first book, but I just love when this guy just shows up. He makes me laugh. I really hope we get more of him in the future Broken Heart Vampire Books. He is such a joy to read about.

I enjoyed this one just as much as the other one and I read it in a day just like the last one. These are fun and fast reads and 100% completely enjoyable. If you haven't checked out the Broken Heart Vampire I highly recommend them. I look forward to reading the next book, Because Your Vampire Said so. I wonder who the next sexy and desirable love interest is..hmmm....

Review: I'm the Vampire, That's Why by Michele Bardsley

Title:  I'm the Vampire, That's Why
Author:  Michelle Bardsley
Series:  Broken Heart Vampires, #1
Publisher:  Signet
Release Date:  September 5, 2006
Pages:  321
Rating:

When Jessica Matthews, a suburban divorcée and mother of two, gets savagely attacked one night by a werewolf, she awakens to find herself sucking blood from the thigh of 4,000-year-old vampire Patrick O'Halloran. He explains that the only way to have kept her from dying was to turn her into a vampire like himself.

Now Jessica finds herself recruited to hunt the rampaging Lycan, who may be Patrick's brother, alongside Patrick and the mysterious paranormal organization called the Consortium. Bardsley has done considerable research into Celtic legends in order to create her vampire society, but her research doesn't make for a successful book.

Rather than giving us, as the title would suggest, a satirical look at a soccer mom turned "sucker mom" attempting to balance normal daily life with a most abnormal nightlife, Bardsley focuses on Jessica's explicit sexual longing for Patrick and the mundane conflict between the Consortium and their evil counterparts, the Wraith. Though amusing at times, the meat of this vampire tale is oddly bloodless.

I'M THE VAMPIRE, THAT'S WHY is a humorous paranormal romance like no other. I read this book in one day. It is a very funny and light-hearted paranormal read that is just fun to read for any paranormal fan. Bardsley has done a terrific job at creating these characters to be so very real. I just want to follow all of these characters and learn more about them. I enjoyed this book way too much.

Jessica Matthews is a single mom that gets turned into a vampire and I think that is an interesting twist to the story. I always read about single normal women who get turned and blah. blah. blah. Being a mother and a vampire makes things harder where you have to make important decisions. I liked that part. Patrick O'Hallogen is sex on a stick. I loved this guy. He not only seduces Jesscia, he seduces me into wanting more of these steamy scenes between Jessica and Patrick.

"Why are you naked?" "The better to feed you, m'dear." He pointed between his legs and my gaze roved along his cock. Then I saw his forefinger tapping his inner thigh. "Femoral artery." "Riiight. And the major vein in your neck wasn't good enough because… ?" One black brow winged up and those delicious lips curved into a naughty smile. "Ah. Because then I wouldn't have had an excuse to get naked."

We get introduced to other characters that where we will soon read their story and I can't wait, because some of these character, scratch that almost all of these characters I adored. Patrick's brother, Lorcan is next in line to read about and I can't wait to read about him. I think he will be equally delicious. I am so happy that there are like 7 or 8 more books in the series. I must have gotten lucky for my first book of 2011 to be as great as this one. I am really looking forward to more books from this author. Bardsley has literally blew me away with this fun read.

I really enjoyed this book. I was really happy that it was NEVER boring. I know in some of the humorous paranormal romance books I have read that they were really good , but some part were slow or a little boring, but this was was fast, engaging, entertaining and I never wanted the book to end. I enjoyed Jessica as the heroine of this book and Patrick was the best. I am still drooling over him...hehe.
